Mission

EXPLORING DESIGN IN THE RE-ERA.
FINDING OUR WAY IN A MORE THAN HUMAN WORLD.

I am drawn to the cultural dimension of our collective quest to RE-imagine and establish a sustainable way of being with the world. That is why I initiate and collaborate in research and projects that are focussed on design and societal transitions. I try to inspire and find beautiful new ways for us to make sense of the world. When we start to RE-think our current ways of doing, new possible futures begin to emerge.

Roles can vary from project to project, but the underlying motivation is always the same. I try to connect and confront different perspectives on life and the world, in order to learn together and work together. Because by sharing with each other we progress. Gradually making sense of the world together. The belief that things can be done differently, that change is necessary and possible increases every time we embark on an adventure of wonder. Communicating that wonder by exploring, combining, and sharing is what I focus on. To shape the future together we should learn and explore together. No matter where we are, there is always much to learn and explore. And above all, there is always something worth sharing with others.

My aim is to learn with design. Not to merely learn about design through the analysis of its objects, but to learn from and through it. Design is a discipline concerned with inquiry and sense making in the thick of things. Learning with design is to join with it, to correspond with it and its processes and practitioners. Doing so contributes to that quest of finding a truly sustainable way of living together. An experimental inquiry into the conditions and possibilities of life.
